The film narrates the real-life journey of Jimmy Adams, a former Vice President at a hedge fund valued at $30 billion, who finds himself unemployed and taking up a job as a waiter in a waffle restaurant. In the chaotic environment of the round-the-clock diner, Jimmy forms an unlikely friendship with Edward, a grill master with a criminal past, who imparts valuable insights on life, money, and cooking grits.
