Toad’s Oil

The Yazawa family is made up of Takuro (Koji Yakusho), a father preoccupied with day trading, his delightful wife Erumi (Satomi Kobayashi), and their teenage son Tetsuya (Eita), who aspires to become an astronaut. They are also joined by Saburo Akiba (Junichi Sawayashiki), a kind-hearted teenager who has recently been released from a juvenile detention center. The story takes a dramatic turn when Tetsuya falls into a coma following a car accident. This incident triggers a series of events, beginning with Takuro answering a phone call from an unsuspecting girl named Hikari, during which he impersonates his son, Tetsuya.
