“To the Beat” centers on 14-year-old twin sisters, Mia and Mackie Castillo, who have been passionate about dancing since they were toddlers. Dancing has been their sole focus since the age of three. Despite their different dance styles—Mia excels in tap while Mackie shines in jazz—they consistently support each other through various competitions and rehearsals. When their beloved pop star announces an online contest to discover the most original dance group for his upcoming music video, the twins decide to form separate teams to vie for the opportunity to perform in the video. They rally their friends and family to help them secure online votes. Meanwhile, their neighbor and fierce competitor, Avery, who is not only the best dancer but also fully aware of it, uses her charm and resources to gain an advantage in the contest.
