Time Of My Life

Based on real events, ‘Tot altijd’ takes us back to the 1980s, where a group of friends revels in the joys and challenges of youth and romantic entanglements. Fast forward to the present, and we find Thomas, a newly minted medical graduate and Mario’s closest confidant, facing a difficult situation when he diagnoses Mario with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Although not immediately life-threatening, the disease gradually erodes the patient’s physical abilities and, in some instances, their mental faculties. Mario emerges as a prominent advocate for the “Waardig Sterven” (“Dignified Death”) movement, which campaigns for the legalization of euthanasia in Belgium. Thomas is determined to do everything he can to keep his best friend from slipping away, yet he struggles with witnessing Mario’s relentless decline…
