The War Around Us

In 2008, two close friends found themselves in a perilous situation as the sole Western journalists in the Gaza Strip, initially there for what was meant to be a brief 24-hour assignment. “The War Around Us” chronicles the intense experiences of seasoned war correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin, recognized as one of TIME’s 100 most influential people, alongside newcomer reporter Sherine Tadros. As missiles rain down on the city and horrific events unfold, the duo grapples with intense professional competition, personal fear, and dark humor, all while being trapped with the world as their audience.
