The Haunted Drum

Ping, a young aristocrat, has left his royal duties to pursue a career in music. He becomes an apprentice to the renowned musician, Master Duang, who possesses a mysterious drum known as Perng Mang. This drum has the ability to either grant success or bring death to those who encounter it. Meanwhile, a conceited musician named Muan attempts to persuade the students to abandon Master Duang. Some heed his advice and meet inexplicable, gruesome fates. After Muan overcomes Master Duang, the master entrusts Ping with his musical wisdom and the Perng Mang. Ping learns the drum’s secret: it was crafted from the skin of a woman named Thip, who coincidentally shares the name of the woman he loves.
