The Come Up

“The Come Up” follows the journey of a young comedian navigating the challenges of his environment. Despite the negative influences of his friends, who often tempt him into making poor choices, he strives to resist their pull. Throughout his struggles, he finds himself involved in minor drug use, a robbery, and theft, leading to his mother kicking him out. However, he has a supportive girlfriend who helps keep him grounded. As he performs stand-up routines at clubs, audiences initially laugh at him rather than his material. Ultimately, he perseveres and achieves success as a comedian.
