Sheng zhe wei wang

For Sheng Ruxi, a woman in her thirties whose last name subtly hints at the term “sheng nu” (meaning “leftover women”), the search for an ideal partner becomes increasingly hopeless with each passing day. Her mother, who is extremely worried and would rather face death than have her daughter remain unmarried, adds to Ruxi’s frustration by setting her up with a doctor she finds irritating.
