The Secret Agent

In 1886 London, Verloc, a Soho shopkeeper, secretly serves as a spy for the Russian government, unbeknownst to his devoted wife, Winnie. Frustrated by Britain’s tolerance of radical anarchists, the Russians pressure Verloc to detonate a bomb, aiming to force the authorities to take action against these extremists. Trapped between the demands of the Russians and the scrutiny of the British police, Verloc unwillingly involves his family in a devastating act of terror.
