The Nevers

In the final years of Queen Victoria’s rule, London is plagued by the emergence of the “Touched,” individuals—primarily women—who unexpectedly develop extraordinary powers, ranging from delightful to unsettling. Leading this group are Amalia True, an enigmatic widow with a knack for combat, and Penance Adair, a gifted young inventor. Together, they become the defenders of this marginalized group, creating a sanctuary for the Touched while battling against virtually every opposing force to carve out a space for those whom traditional history has overlooked.
