Packed to the Rafters is an Australian TV series centered around family life, which debuted on the Seven Network on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 8:30 pm. The show maintained this Tuesday evening slot throughout its entire run. TV Week announced that the sixth season would be the final one for Packed to the Rafters. Hugh Sheridan expressed, “Letting go of Rafters is emotional for all of us. It was an incredible chapter in Australian television, and I’m proud we reunited to give it a proper send-off.” The series concluded with a two-hour finale on July 2, 2013, featuring the return of cast members Hugh Sheridan, Jessica Marais, Ryan Corr, Jessica McNamee, and James Stewart. Rebecca Gibney commented, “The cast, writers, and producers always aimed to keep Rafters as one of the most-watched shows on TV. If we felt we were losing too many cast members, we wanted to end on a high note. Season six wraps up a part of the Rafter family’s story, providing a sense of closure.”
