Risttuules
In the early hours of June 14, 1941, the Soviet regime forcibly relocated over 40,000 individuals from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to Siberia. Among those deported is Erna, a philosophy student and contented wife and mother of a young daughter. Torn apart from her husband, Erna and her daughter are sent with other women and children to isolated regions of Siberia. Despite facing starvation, terror, and severe degradation, Erna maintains her spirit of freedom and the hope of returning home over the next fifteen years. This narrative draws inspiration from true events.
