Passed the Door of Darkness

“Passed the Door of Darkness” opens with a haunting scene: two young children are discovered lifeless, floating in their family’s bathtub. Nearby, their mother lies dead, a gunshot wound to the back of her head, surrounded by her own blood. Slumped against a blood-splattered wall is her husband, who has taken his own life with a gunshot to the head. For Chris Malloy, a rookie detective in the Homicide unit, this horrific tableau is far beyond what he anticipated encountering during his first week on the night shift. His partner, the seasoned yet lyrical Detective Murphy MacCasey, views this as just another sorrowful case in his fifteen-year career in homicide. However, the worst is yet to come.
