Out Of The Woods

Matt, a self-centered young lawyer, travels to see his grandfather, an eccentric hermit living in the wilderness without modern conveniences like gas, electricity, or a phone. His goal is to persuade his grandfather not to donate his estate. However, Matt ends up being the one who is inspired to change his life. The film stars Jason London and Ed Asner. When a woman needs someone to care for her elderly father (played by Ed Asner), her unreliable son isn’t her first option. Matt (portrayed by Jason London) struggles with his career, love life, and finances, so he’s hardly the ideal candidate to check on his grandfather. Yet, out of necessity, Matt visits his grandfather’s remote home. Adjusting to this minimalist lifestyle is challenging for Matt, but he encounters a single mother who teaches him the value of a simpler life.
