Max, Paul, and Simon have maintained a close friendship for 35 years, relishing their annual getaway without their partners and frequently gathering for nights of drinking or card games. Each of them enjoys a thriving career, and their lives seem flawless until Simon reveals one evening that he has strangled his wife, Estelle, following a heated argument. Max and Paul are shocked by Simon’s admission, but the situation worsens when Simon requests that they lie to give him an alibi for the time of Estelle’s death. Both men find themselves conflicted between protecting their friend and reporting him to the authorities.
