Seventeen-year-old Brooke Emerson, admired for her beauty and popularity, is the object of envy among her peers and even some of her closest friends. Despite her seemingly perfect life, Brooke feels more lost than ever. After suffering a head injury in a cheerleading accident the previous year, she developed a condition that triggers uncontrollable and sometimes violent outbursts. Despite her efforts to maintain her flawless image, she risks unraveling everything. It is only when she encounters Jake, a charming and attractive stranger, that she feels truly understood and accepted. However, as she gets drawn into the romance, she senses something amiss in their relationship.
