Love & Distrust

This anthology of five short films skillfully explores how desire can simultaneously uplift and devastate those who experience it. In “The Summer House,” the alluring teenager Jane (Talulah Riley) is pursued by her ex-boyfriend, Richard (Robert Pattinson), amidst the tumultuous summer of 1969. Other stories include a waitress (Amy Adams) who is determined to save her young daughter, and a tech enthusiast (James Franco) who relies on technology to suppress his feelings.
