Little Orphans

Gwen and Kay return to their hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland, for the wedding of their youngest sister, Janet. As Janet tries to conceal her family’s issues, Kay seems to stir up trouble at every turn, while Gwen is immobilized by a secret from her past. The wedding sheds light on the tangled relationships among the sisters, their Aunt Maureen, their absent mother, and Kay’s young daughter, Billie. Gwen’s efforts to make Kay accountable for her daughter underscore her own neglect of her former partner, Tom, culminating in a tumultuous wedding reception.
