In this film, Laerte explores femininity through the body, challenging societal norms and biases. The journey is not about finding a singular identity, but rather embracing multiple identities. Laerte embodies roles such as daughter and son, grandmother and grandfather, and is a father to three children, despite having lost one. Laerte walks their daughter down the aisle as both a father and a woman, and experiences creation without the ability to physically gestate. Through comic strips, Laerte crafts characters that confront reality, serving as a pioneer of self-expression. On the streets, Laerte blurs the line between fiction and reality. Embracing all bodies yet belonging to none, Laerte defies traditional binaries. This documentary follows Laerte, choosing to explore the essence beyond the physical form we occupy.
