Ferdinand has been a dedicated employee at Fish Land, the aquarium section of the international leisure complex “Worlds Apart,” for many years. At forty, he is a short, bald, and introverted man who lives a solitary life, completely absorbed in his love for fish. However, his meticulously ordered world is disrupted when Fish Land shuts down for six months for renovations. During this period, Ferdinand is reassigned to a different part of “Worlds Apart,” the Finnish-Turkish Delight spa, which is all about saunas, steam rooms, and indulgence. Suddenly, Ferdinand finds himself in an environment filled with nudity, sensuality, and relaxation—everything he fears! HOT HOT HOT is the delayed coming-of-age story of a reserved man who gradually learns to embrace life’s pleasures. The film offers a vibrant yet thoughtful depiction of a world balancing between the artificial and the genuine, the conventional and the unique.
