High Road

Helmed by Matt Walsh, a founding member of the esteemed comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade, “High Road” features a completely improvised storyline centered on Glenn “Fitz” Fitzgerald (played by James Pumphrey). Fitz is a young man torn between his commitments to his band, his girlfriend Monica (Abby Elliott), and his side hustle of selling drugs. When his band disbands, Fitz turns to dealing drugs from his garage and forms an unlikely friendship with Jimmy (Dylan O’Brien), a 16-year-old from the neighborhood. As his former bandmates (Zach Woods, Matt L. Jones, Lizzy Caplan) start achieving success and a drug deal goes south, Fitz embarks on a journey with Jimmy. Along the way, they encounter car chases, firearms, injuries, witty cab drivers, and a dubious doctor (Horatio Sanz). Fitz must steer them to safety, all while being unaware of the surprise Monica has waiting for him back home.
