Tom and Anna Wright, a young couple from America, find themselves in deep financial trouble while refurbishing Anna’s ancestral home in London. As their dreams of owning a house and starting a family begin to crumble, they stumble upon the deceased tenant in the apartment below, who has left behind a hidden fortune of $400,000. Initially reluctant, Tom and Anna devise a straightforward plan: discreetly take the money and use just enough to clear their debts. However, as they begin to spend the cash and struggle to stop, they attract the attention of a dangerous foe—the original thief—and soon, a series of unfortunate events befall these well-meaning individuals.
