Give Me the Banjo

The Banjo Project is a multifaceted cultural exploration that includes a significant television documentary, a live multimedia stage performance, and an informative website. This project traces the evolution of the banjo, an iconic American instrument, from its origins in Africa to its role in contemporary music. The endeavor is a joint effort by Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Marc Fields and renowned banjo expert Tony Trischka, who serves as the project’s Music Director and is celebrated as one of the leading acoustic musicians of his era.
