Frieda – Coming Home

A young American couple, Mark and Olivia, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child. Before settling into parenthood, they decide to fulfill their dream of traveling to Europe. They arrange private lodgings through an online platform and set off on a four-week adventure. Upon landing in Germany, they are greeted at the airport by Elisabeth, the daughter of the owner of their first rental—a quaint little house by a picturesque lake in the town where Olivia’s great-grandparents once lived. They discover that the 82-year-old landlady is hospitalized and nearing the end of her life. Elisabeth takes Mark and Olivia to the house, where they spend their first night in Germany. During this night, Mark has a unique encounter with the owner. The following morning, an eerie silence envelops the lakeside house, leaving the events of the previous night shrouded in mystery.
