When their defiant 16-year-old daughter Grace runs away, her frustrated parents seek assistance from a detective nearing retirement. They embark on a lengthy drive from Perth to the wheatbelt region of Western Australia in an effort to locate her. During this journey, they are forced to face the evolving dynamics of their relationship with each other and with their daughter.
