Faith Under Fire

On August 20, 2013, Antoinette, the bookkeeper at the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur, Georgia, had just started her workday when Michael Hill, a young man with a background of mental health issues, entered the school unnoticed. He was carrying an AK-47 and a large supply of ammunition. As the school initiated a lockdown, Antoinette found herself alone in the front office with Michael, who continuously threatened to harm everyone.
