Novella McClure is much like many aspiring actresses in Los Angeles: she’s in her early thirties, her once-trendy stage name has lost its charm over the past decade, and she hasn’t secured an acting gig in three years. To make matters worse, she’s developed a troubling compulsion to consume her own flesh. Novella is determined to keep this bizarre condition a secret from her nurturing landlord, Eesha, and her slightly unhinged best friend, Candice. However, her physical and mental state continues to decline amidst the bleak environment of unsuccessful auditions and dubious nightclubs. Could a romantic involvement with her psychiatrist be the key to stopping her self-destructive behavior, or will her deadly habit continue to consume her?
