As he reflects on the year 1973, he recalls a pivotal game his father participated in, which significantly impacted his formative years. Set against the vivid backdrop of Curaçao’s striking landscapes and stark poverty, the film features characters that embody the island’s diverse cultural tapestry. It weaves a narrative rich with themes of pride and disgrace, financial struggles and romance, as well as dreams and aspirations.
