Destino
In a tale of love lost and found again, a woman experiences a series of dreamlike transformations. From melting clocks and flowing sand to a figure depicted in strips and a character adorned with eyeballs, the influence of Dalí’s style and themes is unmistakable. “Destino” is an animated short film released by The Walt Disney Company in 2003. What makes “Destino” particularly special is that its production began in 1945, taking 58 years to finally be completed. This project was initially a collaboration between Walt Disney and the Spanish Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, featuring music by Mexican composer Armando Dominguez and sung by Dora Luz. It was showcased in the Animation Show of Shows in 2003.
