After being freed from incarceration, French culinary artist Jacques is determined to start anew by working for the esteemed British chef, Victor Ellwood. Jacques is aware that Victor once had a romantic involvement with his mother and might even be his biological father. Despite the grueling demands of working under the strict Victor, Jacques finds solace in a mysterious young woman residing in the apartment below. As he develops feelings for her, he discovers that she has a strong dislike for restaurants and food in general. The question arises: is her eating disorder an obstacle too formidable for even love to overcome?
