After spending years unjustly incarcerated in Joliet, Les, a legendary figure on the streets known as “The Ghoul,” is set free and embarks on a frantic quest through Chicago’s hidden alleys to find the person responsible for his mother’s murder and the theft of his spirit. With the help of enigmatic allies, he must navigate the city’s underbelly, a modern maze of sewers that have expanded in his absence. This leads to a harrowing story of raw tragedy within Chicago’s supernatural underworld, where heroes become grotesque spectacles, villains fantasize about their own end, and the lines between good and evil blur into obsolescence.
