Raymond is a jealous, misanthropic couch potato, while Angèle is a glamorous yet naive TV star. When their mother, Solange, unexpectedly passes away on Halloween, Raymond reaches out to his sister for the first time in a decade. Angèle agrees to meet him and starts looking into their mother’s death, drawing on her experience from her TV role as a police commissioner. However, the Marchildon family is anything but straightforward. With Raymond’s indecisiveness, Solange’s ghost lingering around her children, and Angèle losing her mind as she questions increasingly odd suspects, the basement becomes crowded with bodies.
