Bugok Hawaii: Illusionary Paradise

Ja-yeong, at 42, receives a message from her husband about his plans to emigrate. Fearing she might never see her son again, she decides to flee the psychiatric facility. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Cho-hee is unable to fend off the sexual advances of the hospital director. Upon discovering she’s pregnant, she feels joy at the prospect of starting a family rather than fear. Determined to protect her unborn child, she also escapes the mental institution. The two women, having successfully fled, embark on a journey together. In the meantime, the hospital director enlists Hyeon-su, a private investigator, to track them down. As Ja-yeong and Cho-hee encounter various individuals along their path, they begin to understand each other, leading to the shattering of their previous misconceptions.
