Brabançonne
The Flemish music ensemble Sint-Cecilia from Staaikerke and the Walloon group En Avant both make it to the prestigious European finals. En Avant showcases the exceptional trumpeter Hugues, whose solo performance is so impressive that Willy, representing the Flemish Sint-Cecilia, pushes himself to his limits, hitting the highest, lowest, and final notes before collapsing on stage. To everyone’s astonishment, both ensembles advance to the finals. However, the Flemish group faces a dilemma without their star player. Elke, the conductor Jozef’s daughter, proposes a solution: a transfer. While this strategy is common in football, it proves more challenging in the realm of music. The arrival of the young and charming Hugues stirs up emotions in the tranquil village of Staaikerke, intensifying the rivalry between En Avant and Sint-Cecilia.
