In the city of Bari, which is grappling with a severe economic downturn, Ivo, an agronomist, finds himself compelled to take a position in the lush Banat region of Romania due to the scarcity of local opportunities. Meanwhile, Clara, who has recently ended a relationship, faces the imminent threat of losing her job at the Bari port. A chance encounter brings Ivo and Clara together, and they quickly form a deep understanding of one another. Although they share just a single night before Ivo leaves, it is enough to forge a connection and a desire to reunite. When Clara travels to Romania to see him, they fall in love. However, they must confront the question: is living in exile their only path to happiness?
