Ave Maria

In this short film, a group of nuns living in the West Bank find their routine disrupted when an Israeli family crashes their car into the convent’s wall. The ensuing interactions highlight cultural and religious differences, as well as the potential for unexpected connections. Directed by Basil Khalil, the film cleverly uses humor to explore themes of coexistence and understanding. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.
