For half a century, Rose has lived in her picturesque lakeside home, where she spends her time fishing. As she ages, her daughter Patti becomes increasingly concerned about her living alone, but Rose, resolute in her ways, refuses to part with the house. The place is steeped in memories she cherishes. During a weekend visit from Patti and her granddaughter Allison, a rediscovered roll of film brings back vivid recollections of the summer when Rose fell in love with the daring and captivating Louise.
