Teach Us All

As the 60th anniversary of the 1957 Little Rock school desegregation crisis approaches, educational inequality continues to be one of the most pressing civil rights challenges of our era. With the Little Rock school district under state control since January 2015, the city exemplifies the disparities and obstacles faced by educational systems nationwide. “Teach Us All” uses case studies from Little Rock, New York City, and Los Angeles to draw important historical lessons and examine the current state of education in the U.S. It questions how much progress has been made—or not made—over the past six decades and explores ways to inspire change moving forward.
