Based on real-life events, the story follows a woman who, after suffering abuse, flees with her young son from her violent husband, seeking refuge in California. However, she quickly discovers that her husband has accused her of kidnapping, prompting a legal chase. Now on the run, she must put her life and liberty on the line to shield herself and her son from this dangerous man.
