Camp Dread

The “Summer Camp” horror trilogy was a major hit in the 1980s, but as the decade came to a close, so did the career of its director, Julian Barrett. Now, Barrett is attempting to revive his blood-soaked series with a contemporary reboot inspired by reality filmmaking. Accompanied by his former leading actress and a diverse group of 10 young “contestants,” Barrett returns to the original location where his notorious slasher films were shot. However, when one of the campers is brutally killed, it becomes clear that there’s more at risk than just gaining fame and fortune. Each participant finds themselves in a desperate struggle for survival, realizing that this summer will be their last.
