In a grim and twisted reinterpretation of “Dante’s Inferno,” presented in the gruesome style of films like “Hostel” and “High Tension,” an independent 18-year-old named Danielle flees her abusive foster home. She accepts a ride from a seemingly friendly but deranged man who goes by the name Virgil, harboring a deep-seated vendetta against women due to his distorted religious views. Danielle soon discovers that her rescuer is far from a hero when she wakes up partially unclothed and shackled in Virgil’s basement. Virgil subjects her to a brutal “moral cleansing,” involving torturous sessions that threaten her life at every turn. Faced with this horrific ordeal, Danielle must decide whether to resist or risk becoming as monstrous as Virgil. However, Virgil is unaware that Danielle might be more than capable of matching his twisted psychological games.
