In his forties, Pierre is in the midst of a fourteen-year incarceration. His nearly eighty-year-old mother makes weekly visits to see him. Meanwhile, Suzanne, Pierre’s wife, has moved forward with her life since his imprisonment. Each of these individuals offers an honest reflection on a chapter of their lives that feels frozen in time, caught between the tenuous ties of prison life and the outside world. Their fates are intertwined by themes of crime, guilt, and solitude, and like victims of love and longing, they yearn to rise above their circumstances and embrace the vitality of life.
