Umsonst

Without warning, Aziza finds herself back in her room, with her plans for an internship in Portugal abruptly called off. However, her room is no longer hers; her mother, Trixi, has rented it out. Now, Zach, a young man in his twenties from New Zealand who arrived in Germany on a one-way ticket, occupies the space. From this setup, the film unfolds into a near-documentary depiction of a Kreuzberg ‘situation’: an abundance of time, people, summer, and streets. Ultimately, it culminates in a collision, leaving the audience to ponder if it was all ‘for nothing.’
