In the aftermath of the Civil War, Belle Gatlin Barlowe, a widowed mother of three, finds herself in a precarious situation as she strives to protect her family’s property at all costs. When the dishonest bank controlling their town compels Belle to turn to a life of crime, the situation becomes deeply personal.
