Matt Webster gauges his achievements by the material things he owns. Despite seeming to have everything, the satisfaction of owning these items fails to fill the emptiness of a life lacking direction. His arrogance and self-centeredness lead to fractured relationships, loneliness, and suffering for both him and his family.
