40: The Temptation of Christ

The story of Christ’s temptation is recounted in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. These scriptures describe how, following his baptism by John the Baptist, Jesus spent forty days and nights fasting in the Judaean Desert. During this period, Satan approached Jesus, attempting to lead him astray. However, Jesus resisted all of Satan’s temptations and subsequently returned to Galilee to commence his ministry.
