Tim is somewhat of an introvert. At school, he connects with another reserved boy, and they form a friendship. However, the harassment from a group of kids, both verbally and physically, along with their aggressive use of social media, intimidates Tim’s new friend, causing him to distance himself—a cowardly move that leads to significant consequences. Because Tim refuses to report the bullies, they seem to escape punishment, especially the group’s leader, Jeff. Jeff is a standout athlete at the school, seemingly assured of a spot in the national championships with his impressive 800m time of 1.54 minutes. Determined to challenge Jeff, Tim begins training, even using a girlfriend as a distraction, but his adversaries appear ready to go to any lengths to thwart his efforts.
